1.Agreement to these terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of NEMO, the personal AI companion service available at nemoapp.tech and its apps and channels (the “Service”), provided by NEMO (“we”, “us”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

2.Who can use NEMO

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these Terms where you live. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use NEMO only with the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms for you.

3.Your account

• Give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
• Keep your password secret and don’t share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

4.Acceptable use

You agree not to use NEMO to:

• break the law, or help anyone else do so;
• harass, threaten, defame or harm others, or create content that sexually exploits children;
• send spam or unsolicited messages, or impersonate someone else;
• infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy rights;
• probe, disrupt or overload our systems, get around security or usage limits, or access other users’ data;
• scrape the Service, or copy, reverse engineer or resell it without our written permission;
• create or spread malware, phishing, scams or other deceptive content.

We may remove content or limit accounts that break these rules.

5.About AI responses

Your AI generates responses automatically. They can be incomplete, inaccurate or out of date, even when they sound confident. Check important information before relying on it.

NEMO is not a substitute for professional advice, whether medical, legal, financial, psychological or any other. It is not an emergency service. If you are in danger or need urgent help, contact your local emergency services.

6.Reminders and notifications

We work hard to deliver reminders on time, but delivery can be delayed or fail, for example because of network or carrier problems or a wrong phone number. Don’t rely on NEMO alone for anything time-critical or safety-critical, such as medication.

SMS: text messages are sent only if you verify your phone number and turn SMS on, and only for the notification types you choose. Message frequency depends on your reminders. We don’t charge for NEMO text messages, but your mobile operator’s terms apply. You can turn SMS off at any time in Settings.

7.Your content

You own what you put into NEMO (your messages, notes, documents and instructions) and what your AI creates for you, to the extent the law allows.

You give us permission to store, process and transmit your content only as needed to provide and secure the Service for you, including sending it to the AI providers described in our Privacy Policy. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backup copies kept for a limited time.

You are responsible for having the right to share the content you upload.

8.Our service and changes

NEMO, including its software, design, logo and name, belongs to us and is protected by law. These Terms don’t give you any right to use our brand without permission.

NEMO is in early access and is evolving quickly. We may add, change or remove features, and some features may be offered only on certain channels or plans. We’ll try to give notice of significant changes.

NEMO is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance and you can choose whether to subscribe. Free features may be subject to fair-use limits.

9.Suspension and termination

You can stop using NEMO at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing [email protected].

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect other users or the Service. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If we close the Service or your account for reasons other than a breach, we will try to give you notice so you can save important information.

10.Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

11.Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you haven’t paid us anything. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as liability for fraud.

12.Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. If a dispute arises, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally. Otherwise, disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Tanzania, without affecting any mandatory rights you have to bring a claim where you live.

13.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with a new “last updated” date and, for significant changes, let you know in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using NEMO after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
